Lot #1. SULPHIDE. . Large marble. Figure of a standing rooster. Well-centered, but a little high. Average detail. Small air bubble on one side. Surface is in great shape, with just one tiny moon near the bottom. The pontil is on the bottom too. 2-1/4". Near Mint(+) (8.9). Pre-Sale Estimate: $250-$500. Final Bid: $200.

Lot #2. SULPHIDE. . Figure of the numeral 8. Figure is set a little low in the marble. The figure broke into four pieces when it was inserted. Small air bubble on the back. The surface is in nice shape, but has two large rough spots and a lare cloudy spot on the back side. Both those spots are likely from manufacture. 1-15/16". Near Mint(+) (8.8). Lot #3. SULPHIDE. . Seated figure of a cat. Large figure for the marble size. Excellent detail. Set slightly high. Small air bubble on one side. Excellent example. Surface is in great shape. 1-29/32". Mint (9.8). Pre-Sale Estimate: $225-$450. Final Bid: $130.

Lot #4. SULPHIDE. . Figure of a standing bear with his arms outstretched in front of him with hands clasped. Excellent detail to the figure. Well-centered. No air bubbles. Marble surface has been polished. 1-5/8". Pre-Sale Estimate: $150-$300. Final Bid: $110.

Lot #5. SULPHIDE. . Figure of a donkey. Excellent detail to the figure. Well centered. No air bubbles. Surface has a small moon and several subsurface moons. All are on the sides with only one tiny one in front of the figure on one side. Views very well. 1-7/8". Near Mint (8.6). Pre-Sale Estimate: $160-$325. Final Bid: $180.

Lot #6. SULPHIDE. . Floating figure of an angel. Holding a wreath in front of its groin. Has wings. Shallow air bubble on back. The legs are completely intact (usually they break off), but there is a tiny piece off of the top of the right wing. Surface has been polished. Hard to find. 1-5/16". Pre-Sale Estimate: $375-$750. Lot #7. SULPHIDE. . Figure of a seated dog, head bent back, howling. Below average detail to the figure. Shallow air bubble on one side. One tiny chip on the top. This marble is originally from the Mary Louise Stanley collection, although it is not pictured in her book. Still has her inventory sticker on it. 1-5/16". Near Mint(+) (8.9). Lot #14. SULPHIDE. . Figure of a squirrel standing on all fours. Excellent detail on one side, almost no detail on the other. Looks like not enough sulphide material was put in the figure mold. Lot #15. SWIRL. Latticinio core. Yellow latticinio core swirl. Superior example. Outer layer is two pink on white bands alternating with a green on white band and a blue on white band. Excellent detail and symmetry. Exceptional example. A couple of tiny pits in one spot. 2-1/8". Mint (9.4). Pre-Sale Estimate: $325-$650. Final Bid: $555.

Lot #16. SWIRL. Divided core. Three band core. Each band is transparent green, transparent red, transparent blue and yellow bands on opaque white. Each is about the same width. Outer layer is three sets of four white strands. Superior example. Very well made. A couple of tiny sparkles. Stunning marble. 1-31/32". Mint(-) (9.2). Pre-Sale Estimate: $325-$650. Final Bid: $250.

Lot #17. SWIRL. Latticinio core. White core. Outer layer is four bands. Pink on white, pink on yellow, green on yellow, blue on white. Another large marble. Great looking. Small subsurface moon, a couple of sparkles and a some very, very light scratches. 2-1/8". Near Mint(+) (8.8). Pre-Sale Estimate: $225-$450. Final Bid: $205.

Lot #18. SWIRL. Latticinio core. Yellow latticinio core swirl. Trapped air bubble inside the core. Outer layer is a cage of six blue on white bands. Excellent marble. Very well made. Surface has several sparkles. 1-9/16". Mint(-) (9.1). Pre-Sale Estimate: $130-$275. Final Bid: $120.

Lot #19. SULPHIDE. Divided core. Three band core. Each is about the same width. Two are pink and green on yellow, one is pink and blue on white. Outer layer is three sets of yellow bands with white strands. Excellent symmetry. Some surface scratching. Tiny fracture in the marble too. Still, a great looking example. 1-1/2". Near Mint(+) (8.8). Lot #20. SWIRL. Latticinio core. White latticinio core. Outer layer is a cage of six bands, tightly twisted. Four are pink on yellow, two are blue on white. They were supposed to be alternating three and three, but an error was made when the rod was constructed. Super marble. In great shape. 1-11/16". Mint (9.6). Pre-Sale Estimate: $175-$350. Lot #21. SWIRL. Latticinio core. White latticinio core. Outer layer is four pink on white bands, alternating with two blue on white and two green on white bands. Lot #22. SWIRL. Latticino core. Outstanding marble. White latticinio core. The latticinio is caging a ghost core. Outer layer is three pink on yellow bands alternating with three purple on white bands. Exceptionally well-made. Great symmetry and balance. One very tiny subsurface moonand one very tiny flake. It's a shame to classify it less than Mint, because it is an absolute beauty, but I have to because of the two hits. 1-5/8". Near Mint(+) (8.9). Pre-Sale Estimate: $150-$300. Final Bid: $140.

Outer layer is two bands of three yellow strands and two bands of three white strands. One of the white sets is missing one and a half strands. From near an end of the cane. One sparkle. Lot #26. SWIRL. Divided core. Four band core. Narrow core. Two bands each of two different color schemes. Two of the bands have an odd powder blue band on them. The outer layer is three sets of two white strands edged by two yellow strands. One set is missing a white and yellow strand. From near an end of the cane. Lot #28. SWIRL. Ribbon core. Fat single ribbon core swirl. Opaque white core. Green and pink bands on one face, blue and pink on the other. Four sets of three yellow strands form the outer layer. Very nice example. The marble has been re-melted and re-worked. 1-1/2". Pre-Sale Estimate: $60-$125. Final Bid: $80.

Lot #31. SWIRL. Divided core. Very unusual marble. Three band core. The core is very wide. Each is a wide transparent red band floating on a narrow opaque yellow band. Outer layer is three sets of three white strands. One yellow band is partial and one set is missing a white strand. From near an end of the cane. A fewf tiny pits. 1-1/4". Near Mint(+) (8.9). Lot #32. SWIRL. Solid core. Outstanding three layer solid core swirl. Opaque yellow core. Cage of white strands floating above that. Outer layer is two pink on white bands and one green on white band. There is also a missing green on white and and one pink on white band is only partial. In super shape with just one cloudy streak on it. Excellent marble. 1-5/16". Mint (9.7). Pre-Sale Estimate: $90-$180. Final Bid: $90.

Lot #58. SWIRL. Latticinio core. Very unusual core. Repeating pattern of three white strands and one red strand. Repeats four times. Outer layer is three blue and white narrow bands alternating with three green and white narrow bands. One melt spot, one tiny rough spot. A beauty and rare. 21/32". Mint(-) (9.1). Lot #60. END OF DAY. Cloud. Super left-hand twist. White core. Covered by spots of transparent pink, transparent blue, opaque yellow, opaque powder blue. Rare type. Surface has two shallow moons and pitting and scratching. This is a beauty though and extremely hard to find. 1-15/16". Near Mint(-) (8.2). Pre-Sale Estimate: $500-$1000. Final Bid: $550.

Lot #61. END OF DAY. Panelled onionskin. Single-pontil four panel onionskin in cloud-form. Transparent clear base. Opaque yellow core with two small panels of pink and two large panels of green. Mushroom cloud form. Single pontil. The pink and green float above the core to a certain extent. A pink splotch on the surface. Super looking marble. Rare form. There is a flake on one side that causes a large fracture, but the other side is great. No other damage on the marble. 1-3/4". Near Mint (8.6). Pre-Sale Estimate: $400-$800. Final Bid: $310.
