The Absentee Marble Auctions are governed by the terms and conditions of sale. Below is a summary. If you have any questions, contact Bob Block.

The Absentee Marble Auctions consist of consignments from a wide variety of sources. The AuctionBlocks rarely sells any of its own marbles in the auctions. Almost all lots are offered without reserve. Auctions close about once every 4-6 weeks. There are about 200-300 lots in an Auction.

Electronic catalogues are posted to the Upcoming Catalogues, and print catalogues , about 3 weeks before the auction close date. The print catalogue lists each lot with its type, a full description, size, condition, pre-sale value estimate, and a full-color picture.  Electronic catalogues consist of the catalogue text with a JPG image of the lot and a 360-degree rotatable image of each lot. All lots are guaranteed to be as described. The pre-sale value estimates are our estimate of the lot's value, based on prior experience. They are not a reserve or opening bid.

Bids are accepted by US mail, fax and e-mail. Telephone bids are accepted during the final week of the auction. We distribute the current high bid prices by mail, fax and e-mail several times during the auction period. The current high bid prices are also posted to the web site periodically during the auction period. Mail, fax, e-mail bids and phone bids must be received by 4PM on the closing date of the auction. At 6PM we will conduct the auction live in ourAuction chat room, and simultaneously on Ebay Live Auctions. Auctions generally end about 11PM on closing night.

If submitting bids by e-mail, you must include your name, address and telephone number. Bids received by e-mail without this information will not be considered. If you are a first-time bidder, we may require you to fax or mail us a signed, written verification.

You are sent an an invoice by US mail the day after the auction close. Electronic invoices will be sent out the Saturday following the auction, if you have provided us with an e-mail address.

Payment is by PayPal, Mastercard/Visa/AMEX/Discover, personal check, money order, cashier's check or traveler's check. Orders paid by personal check are held until the check clears. 

There is a 10% buyer's premium. One-half of this premium is waived if you pay via check or money order.

We ship by U.S. Postal Service, or other carrier. There is a shipping charge added to your invoice. See our shipping policies for our current shipping charge calculation.
